Grade-school-type Valentine's cards were created featuring Krispy Kreme characters and offered as a gift-with-purchase of a dozen doughnuts. On the back of each card was a coupon for a free doughnut to share with your Valentine.

This unique offer generated revenue and drove sales at over 350 participating stores.
